Services

Modern parenting comes with access to an almost endless amount of easily accessible information regarding your child’s mental and behavioral health - but parenting is nuanced, and not every strategy works in the same way for every child.

All services are conducted via Telehealth from the comfort of your own home.

Whether it’s anxious feelings or challenging behaviors, I combine research-based practices and the uniqueness that each child's personality requires to create a treatment plan that will work for your family.

I work with parents who are feeling frustrated
and unsure of what to try next.

School  Support

The special education process can be overwhelming, even for experienced parents. With over a decade of experience working in special education in public schools, navigating IEPs and 504 Plans has become second nature. I will help you to understand strategies that may effectively support your child at school, and learn effective ways of collaborating with your child's team.

School / Individualized Education Program (IEP) Support

I can provide support by:

Explaining your rights.

Reviewing the assessment process and areas of eligibility.

Outlining the school district's obligations.

Assisting with goal and accommodation development, and the development of Positive Behavior Support Plans when appropriate.

Clarifying related services, like Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech and Language Services.

Teaching you how to advocate for your child in a way that is effective and maintains rapport with your school team.

Each public school child who receives special education and related services must have an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Each IEP must be designed for one student and must be a truly individualized document.

An IEP is more than just a written legal document or “plan.” It’s a map that lays out the goals, supports, and services kids need to make progress and be successful in school.

IEPs are covered by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). They are created for students who attend public schools, including charter schools.

The IEP process begins with an evaluation that reveals a student’s strengths and challenges. If the student is found eligible for an IEP under at least 1 of the 13 documented categories, the IEP team, which includes the family and school staff, uses the results to create a program of services and supports tailored to meet the student’s unique needs.

The IEP process can feel overwhelming! Supporting parents through the process, from evaluation to eligibility to designing an appropriate program, has become a passion. I’d love to help support you!

FAQs

How do I know if you're a good fit for me?

I ask that all my clients schedule a free 15-minute consultation so that I can get a better idea of your needs, and so that you can get an idea of my working style.

Where are you located?

I am located in Southern California. All sessions are conducted via telehealth from the comfort of your own home. As a client, you will be given access to a secure client portal where you will find the link to our sessions.

I'm not in California, can I still work with you?

I am a licensed therapist in California, all individual and group therapy services are only for California residents.

Do you take insurance?

At this time I do not accept insurance; however, I can provide you with a superbill when requested.

What are your fees?

Sessions are $200 per hour. If you have any questions about pricing please do not hesitate to contact me.

What is your cancellation policy?

Late Cancellation is defined as a cancellation within 24 hours of your session time. Any late cancellations or no-shows will result in full fee payment for the missed session. I understand, however, that sometimes things are out of our control or emergency situations happen that will result in a missed appointment. Due to this, a one-time pass for a missed appointment will be given each year when these unexpected circumstances occur.
